My Life

I am currently a junior enrolled in American School Homeschooling Curriculum, finishing up my last year of high school. That's right, I will be finishing my high school work this year, and hopefully spend my senior year going to clinics, interning with clinicians, possibly giving lessons and definitely taking them. As of now, I am sure that God is leading me to be involved professionally with horses. However, I am not sure what aspect He has called me to. I know that He will reveal it in his own perfect time, but until then I will keep learning from, experiencing, working with, and riding horses. Outside of horses I am a normal teenage girl that loves to...
*sing
*spend time with my family
*watch ALL kinds of movies
*hang out with my friends
*be a part of my church youth group
*have fun
*laugh
*practice photography
*swim
*listen to music
*train my dog
*read
I love to do a lot of things and I believe that life should be fun. I am a Christian and I am so blessed to have all the opportunities that God has opened up to me and my family. I have a very supporting family (my mom is also on a journey discovering Natural Horsemanship) and I also have been blessed with SO many supportive friends who build me up, are there for me when I need them, and are a listening ear when I have to blab about something awesome that happened. I love them so much and I am so grateful to be surrounded by so many amazing people.

My Dreams

I am a girl with many dreams, most of which pertain to advancing in my horsemanship and becoming the best horsewoman that I can be. Although I am not exactly sure of what I want to do when I grow up, I do know that whatever it is, it will have to do with horses. I believe that God has given me the passion for horses along with a gift with them because He wants me to change the world, one horse at a time. He has opened so many doors to me that makes it possible to work with these amazing animals, and I am so grateful to Him for allowing me to do what I love.
As I said, I have big dreams, and some of them are...

*to have a huge, successful farm with many different playgrounds, indoor and outdoor, and plenty of room to house all needy horses naturally and healthily

*to learn as much as I can from many great horsemen and horses themselves, and to become the best horsewoman I can be

*to lead others on to Natural Horsemanship through my actions and my relationship with my horses

Possible Career Dreams

I am interested in many different possible career paths concerning horses... the problem is choosing one! Some of my favorites that I am considering are...

*fostering the next generation of Atwood Ranch Naturally, but breeding gorgeous Warmbloods, imprinting on many foals, and training them naturally

*creating a natural horse rescue by taking in abused/"untrainable" horses, playing with them, restoring their dignity, and either keep them or sell them to other natural homes

*competing naturally and being an example to all the normals

*having an equine photography business and incorporating my horsemanship into my work somehow

*specializing in jumping and using psychology and horsemanship to make jumping enjoyable, fun, and interesting for both the horse and the rider

As you can see, there are many options, but I know if I listen to my God, He will show me the way and the path He has chosen for me.
